Best Golf Swing Instruction

Sometimes, no matter how much you practice, perfecting your swing or even correcting small problems in your swing seems impossible. In this case, you might require golf swing instruction from a pro...even if you have been playing for some time. Golf swing instruction will probably help you even more than you realize.

Golf pros are different from ordinary golfers. They have perfected their own game, and then they learned to study other people's games to help them perfect their games. A golf pro knows that all golfers are different, and each one will have different needs to correct small problems. Pros are trained to help you correct those problems - in ways designed just for you.

Finding golf pros is easy - finding golf pros that are good is a little harder. Finding a golf pro that suits your particular needs can seem absolutely overwhelming... but it doesn't have to be. There are certain steps to take to find a good golf shop. Don't just settle for the guy that works in your local pro shop.

First, ask your friends for recommendations. Find out where the pros are located, and if possible, watch them with their other students from a distance. How do they interact? Are they patient? Do they seem to know what they are doing, and what they are talking about? Visit your local pro shop, and ask about the pros that are available in the area. Don't worry about insulting the pro running the shop - he probably no longer offers instruction anyway.

Most clubs have golf pros on staff. Follow the same protocol, and watch them from a distance, after the practice session that you watch, try to catch up with the golf student, and ask questions about the golf pros instructional skills, and ask specifically if they would recommend him. Ask them if there has been any improvement in their game since they started the lessons.

Ask for references - and check them. If you haven't had the opportunity to watch the pro in action on the course, ask to join a training session for observation purposes. Don't be alarmed if the pro says no to this - it may simply be to protect the privacy of his or her clients. You might even offer to pay half of the hourly rate for the opportunity to watch them in action with another student.

Once you've started instruction with a golf pro, give it a few sessions to determine whether or not this is the right golf pro for you. Sometimes, people simply don't get along well. It may be that this particular golf pro cannot convey the concept to you in a way that you understand. If it isn't working out, don't be afraid to stop working with that particular pro, and start your search for another one. The current pro may be able to make a recommendation if you just explain the situation to them in a nice way.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that you can perfect your golf swing in just one or two sessions with a golf pro - or even three or four, and maybe not even in ten sessions! Everyone learns at their own pace, and golf techniques take time to learn, and even more time to perfect. Also, really listen to what your golf store is telling you. If you aren't willing to listen, you are wasting your time, your money, and the pros time as well. Stay completely focused during your training sessions, and make sure that you put in the additional practice time that is recommended by your pro.

If you feel that you have been given quality golf swing instruction by your pro, don't be afraid to tip them, or offer them a bonus. This is a common practice, and many pros depend on tips a great deal. Treat your pro with respect - they are not underlings. Failure to give proper respect to your pro may result in him or her walking off the job! Golf pros have a true love for the game - and if you demonstrate that same feeling for the game, you may find that you receive superior instruction!

Tiger Is Far From Finished on PGA Tour

Thought Tiger Woods is not the Number One of Office World Golf Ranking, a lot of golf fans think that he would back as soon as possible.

Last week, Tiger Woods get an injury, what next for him? In this article, I would like to tell you the newest golf news about Tiger Wood with PGA Tour. If you want to know much more golf news or TaylorMade R9 SuperTri Driver reviews, you may read this funny article - Thousands Of Applicants For 2011 U.S. Open in my blog.

Tiger Woods showed everyone that he was back at the Masters earlier this month, giving us an epic rally from a five shot deficit to hold a share of the lead in the clubhouse on Sunday.

hen, the comeback became even more impressive when we learned that Woods was playing with injuries to his MCL and Achilles tendon, injuries which figure to sideline the 13-time Masters champ for a few weeks now.

But, don't take this latest malady to mean that Woods' goose is cooked on the PGA Tour; in fact, it could be just what he needs to get himself back on track.

Confused? It's simple, really; Woods' biggest flaw at Augusta was without a doubt his putter. Woods' inability to hole putts cost him the tournament, and while the rest of his game looked to be in tip top shape, his putting looked like it was still miles from being back.

Now, he can take as much time as he needs over the next few weeks focusing all his energy on his putting. He can hobble over to the putting green at his Jupiter, Florida estate and just stand there, knocking balls into holes.

The rest of Tigers game was sharper than ever at Augusta; now, he's basically been given orders to work solely on that aspect of his game which has given him the most trouble. On top of that, it's not like this injury is really all that serious; it's a fairly common one for golfers to suffer on the Tour, and Woods himself said it's nothing more than a minor malady.

The fact is that Tiger Woods is closer to being back than ever, injury or no injury. His putting will come around sooner or later, and now that he's been ordered to rest his injury, he could take the chance to improve that area of his game.

If he actually manages to figure something out in the next few weeks, don't be surprised to see him tear apart the U.S. Open on one of his all-time favorite courses. Key golf tips to sharpen your golf skills

Any PGA pro will tell you that ingraining and practicing the core fundamentals of the golf swing is key to a consistently solid game.  Here are a few vital golf tips and golf lessons that cover key elements of the golf swing including ball position, backswing golf tips and downswing golf tips.  Practice these golf tips regularly and your progress will accelerate dramatically.

Ball Position Golf Tips

To hit crisp iron shots, you should hit downward on the golf ball. To achieve the downward blow, the golf ball should be positioned correctly in relation to your stance. So, to hit solid iron shots, practice these key golf tips and position your body so that the golf ball is:

• In the center of your stance for shorter irons including 8, 9 irons and wedges
• One golf ball forward from center for mid irons including 5, 6, and 7 irons
• Two golf balls forward from center for fairway clubs including 3 and 5 woods and hybrid clubs
• Three golf balls forward from center for your driver

Full Swing Golf Tips

Backswing

When executing your backswing, rotate the club, arms and body back together while shifting your weight to the inside of your back leg.  Hinge your wrists as they approach waist level. At the top of the backswing, ensure your leading arm is straight, most of your body weight is on the inside of your back leg and that your rear knee is flexed.  Your shoulders should be rotated up to 90 degrees at the top of your backswing while your hips are rotated 30 to 45 degrees.

Downswing

When you initiate the downswing, shift your weight to your front leg.  Your hips, arms and shoulders will naturally follow this weight shift and unwind to the impact position. At impact, check that your head is behind the ball.  Continue turning your body after impact so that your arms and club extend toward the target after impact (release position).

To ensure proper body movement throughout the golf swing, here are a few quick golf tips to check at the finish position of your golf swing:

• Belt buckle faces your target
• Club is wrapped around your shoulder with club head directed toward target line.
• 90% of your weight is on front leg
• Back foot is upright on its toes.

These key golf tips will help you on the practice range to increase your confidence and sharpen your golf ball hitting techniques.

Expert tips to play golf in the driving range

The fastest path to developing a solid golf game is practice, play, track your progress, identify your strengths and weaknesses and practice again with focus on ingraining your strengths and developing your weaknesses.

After identifying your golf game improvement areas, develop your golf practice plan and goals.  Here are some example golf expert tips for a solid golf practice plan:

1. Begin golf practice session by performing light stretching and warm-up drills.

2. Review the golf lesson fundamentals of your backswing and downswing.  Spend about 10 minutes ingraining the key positions of your full swing in slow motion including takeaway, halfway back, top of backswing, downswing transition (i.e., right elbow “in the slot”), impact position, release and finish position. Start slowly, ingrain the proper positions and movements and increase your golf swing speed until you are swinging your club fluidly.

3. Set up a golf shot alignment station with two clubs, with the far club directed toward your target (“target line”) and the near club directly parallel to your target line (“body line”).

4. To loosen up and establish good tempo, spend 5 minutes and hit a few short chip and pitch shots.

5. Perform a few golf practice drills to practice your full swing mechanics (for example, backswing golf practice drill or release golf practice drill) for 4 shots to help establish the proper golf lesson swing fundamentals.

6. For the next 4 shots, execute your normal golf swing with an emphasis on a fluid swing motion.

7. Very important! Alternate between 4 practice shots (which emphasize proper mechanics) and the fluid swing.

8. For half of your golf lesson practice session, work on your short game including pitching, chipping and putting (and bunker work if possible).

Establishing a consistent golf practice plan and routine will help you to quickly accelerate your golf strengths and understanding of golf improvement areas resulting in lower scores more quickly.

Whenever you get a chance, review the golf swing fundamentals and golf expert tips from your instructor, golf lessons or other golf expert resources until you get a solid feel of how to set up and execute golf shots around the course.  After all, properly setting up for your golf shots is half the battle.
